Real sine wave!

Connected to my oscilloscope and couldn't tell the difference with my 110v outlet.

We got the BESTEK 300W Pure Sine Wave Car Inverter for long car trips and camping. It is wonderful to have a source of 110 AC electricity (300W continuous, 700W peak) powered by the 12V DC system from your vehicle. When selecting a power inverter, the "pure sine wave" versions are more efficient and safer for your devices than "modified sine wave" or "square wave" inverters. This inverter has 1 USB-A PD port (30W max), 1 USB-C QC port (18W max), and two AC outlets. There is an integrated cooling fan, a 40A fuse, and voltage projection features (intelligent circuit protection and intelligent overload protection). The inverter will charge your devices quickly (the PD port charges 6 times faster than a 2.4A charger) and safely powers your delicate devices (laptops, phones, speakers, etc.). Happy to add this to our vehicle gear bag for long drives and camping trips.

As soon as I picked up the box, I had a good feeling that the quality was going to be better than the price reflects. It has a bit of weight to it, which is a good sign for power inverters because it means that quality components were likely used. Although admittedly, I didn't take this inverter apart to inspect.Bottom line, I got this inverted to keep my laptop charged while on the road in my car. My laptop's charger uses a 3 prong plug, so I don't have the option of charging it with a USB cable. And even if it did, the charger pulls nearly 300 watts, and that exceeds USB connections - but not this BESTEK 300W inverter! My use has been minimal, but so far, so good!

I have a few Power Inverters for my vehicle, and this is the first plastic shelled inverter that I have encountered. However, the plastic housing did not seem to effect the performance. We used the inverter to run an HP Laptop and to charge an IPad simultaneously for a three hour car ride, and neither showed any battery loss, flickering or any other artifacts of bad power input. It's deceptively small for how many power outlets (USB, USBC, and two ungrounded AC outlets) it provides. It never overheated, or became too warm to the touch. A great addition to the family camping rig.

I am a DIYer who loves solar, low voltage, and portable power. I've had the older 300w Bestek pure sinewave inverter on my wish list forever. When this newer model popped up, I had to grab it for my portable power station and car. I have a small solar setup in my vehicle that I use to commute to work. I had a small modified sinewave inverter on it, but I didn't feel comfortable charging all of my devices from it. There aren't too many pure sinewave inverters at the 300w and lower range. This little inverter is great. The previous model only had USB-A ports. I like that this model has USB-A and USB-C ports. I have been upgrading all of my cables to USB-C to USB-C. The USB-A port is an 18w port. The USB-C port is a 30w PD port. It outputs PD 5v, 9v, and 12v. This is great because a lot of chargers have been skipping the 12v option. I need this for some of my devices and heated gear. I like that this has all of the protections I was looking for. This inverter is solid and well-made. The fan is quieter than my previous inverter. This will be great for powering stuff with my car or my power station. I would like to point out that most cars only supply 120w through the 12v vehicle socket. If you try to run the full 300w, you may blow your fuse. I am very happy with this unit.

Nice unit, well built, all the requisite certifications. I tested it with a 50 Watt work light, and it was absolutely fine. I checked the AC Sine Wave under that same load and there was no degradation of the waveform, it was clean & smooth (see scope picture above). This is a nice, compact, light-weight, well-built, cool-looking unit. It is only rated for 300 Watts, so don't try running your refrigerator or freezer on it, but it will run most medium sized TVs, laptops certainly, and other stuff that might need a better quality of voltage input than the non-sine ("modified Sine" or "Stepped Square Wave") units can provide which can flood your sensitive electronics with unfiltered harmonics. This is a good unit to keep handy for small to mid-size loads. I buy a LOT of these things... this is a decent one.

The 300Watt Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter by BESTEK, is a great little inverter that works efficiently with multiple outputs and easy use, making this a worthy consideration. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.I. Quality – This inverter looks and feels like a well-made product that’s better than expected, offering good value. I’d put it in the high upper-middle level of the quality scale and guess it should hold up well over it’s useful life.II. Performance – It’s worked great for a lower watt inverter, providing pure sine wave performance and four power outlet choices. Its compact size makes it easy to store and use.Overall, this is a well-made high performing inverter that’s very compact and offers a good level of value. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.If you’d find it helpful to see a visual inspection of this product, I recommend you watch my included video in full screen or landscape. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, well it’s a video! You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision.

300 watts won't cook your lunch, but it will charge a laptop just fine. The lighter socket interface is solid and didn't vibrate loose due to vibration.I do have it powered off when plugging and unplugging my devices. That can sometimes cause a power spike that can blow a fuze. Haven't blown a fuze since doing it that way.Double check your fuze size for the lighter socket. Some are only 20 amps and that is less than 300 watts. (watts = volts * amps) so 300 watts requires 25 amps at 12 volts assuming no amps (or watts) are used by the converter.

This 300 watt pure sine wave inverter has a very solid build and works perfectly. This isn't the most powerful inverter that you'll have, but it's good for charging phones and small appliances. When using it I noticed that the fan will come on and the speed will fluctuate depending upon the load of the item that's being charged. It has 2 AC outlets, one USB C and one USB port. This inverter has a thermal surge protector to protect this unit from over amperage and/or overheating. Make sure whatever you are plugging into this unit is within the wattage guidelines and you won't have any problems! It's perfect for camping, tailgating, and emergency power outages. It's small enough to be tucked into a trunk of a car, or a glove box. I highly recommend this!

The BESTEK 300Watt Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter [30W PD USB-C] Car Adapter DC 12V to AC 110V with QC3.0 USB Ports, Multi-Protection Car Charger Power Inverter for Vehicles is a nice compact package. I tested it using my shop battery on a charger to ensure good input power and loaded it up to about 250 watts (measured with a 'Kill A Watt' meter) with no issues. I also checked the output with an oscilloscope (no load) and it makes a nice clean sinewave (pictured). I've done more comprehensive testing on other BESTEK inverters and have no doubt that this is also a quality product that can maintain its rated output when needed.

I’ve been looking for a pure sine wave inverter and this one from Bestek offered everything I needed for a super price. It conforms to numerous European and U.S. product standards including CE, ETL, CSA and more. Any product that conforms to these standards is the real deal because it means it has gone through laboratory controlled evaluation tests to ensure that its published output wattage and other specifications are correct.PSW or Pure Sine Wave inverters are needed when you want to power some electronically sensitive such as your laptop computer. I remember learning this the hard way when we attempted to setup a registration booth powered by a regular square wave generator. Needless to say it didn’t turn out well when the computers would not operate. The other huge reason to select this inverter is the PD (Power Delivery) C USB type charging output port. PD is a high output charger which can really speed up the charging time for your phones and other mobile devices. If you’re shopping for an inverter spend a few more bucks and get this quality product with an 18 month warranty.
