Yes. The MRZ5011BU is listed as a 500W pure sine wave inverter with two 110V AC outlets. Confirm the connected equipment’s voltage, running wattage and startup demand before use.
No. Full-rated use requires a suitable battery connection and wiring as described in the manual. A vehicle accessory socket has its own lower limit; follow the vehicle socket and fuse rating when using that connection.
Yes, provided their combined running load and startup requirements remain within the inverter and supply limits. The two AC outlets share the inverter’s 500W continuous rating; it is not 500W per outlet.
My old inverter crapped out. So I bought this new one for powering my laptop in my vehicle. It's a very CLEAN power source with no audio artifacts and keeps the laptop power supply cooler vs using a modified sine wave inverter. And, the cooling fan is QUIET! As long as it keeps working, I'll follow up in a few months.Being that I'm only using it for my laptop, I hooked it up via my cigarette lighter with no problems.I like to do night sky photography and review the pics on my laptop without the battery draining. This was the perfect solution!
Tested this inverter for frequency, sine wave purity and voltage sagging, loaded and unloaded. The inverter performed stunningly well under the full 500w load, with the sine wave only barely distorting (Second image), which practically speaking means it will work just fine for pretty much anything. Voltage sags to about 110v under a large load, and jumps back to a nominal 117 volts under no load. Very good product for its cost.
I bought this inverter a little over a year ago. It's very easy to set up and use. I really like the 2 different ways to connect it to a 12v power source.I was able to comfortably charge my gaming laptop with it while using the laptop under these conditions: OS updating; video livestreaming with camera, light, and usb mic; and video playback and uploading. The inverter ran smoothly and stayed very cool to the touch. Though it can run up to 1500W, I would not want to overload it, it may warm up more, and as with any inverter cause damage to the electronics or the inverter itself. If you need to find the watts for your devices, the device should state the volts and amps. The formula to find watts is, Volts × amps = watts. Do this with each device you want to plug into the inverter, even usb hubs can draw power. Add all the watts together to find the total watts you'll draw through the inverter. Make sure the total doesn't exceed 1500.I really like it and it serves my needs well. Thanks!
I have a 100 series land cruiser that I use primarily for camping/offroading/long trips. I had a cheaper 500w inverter for years that was fine for occasional use, but I wanted something that I could install permanently that would run whatever I hooked up to it as well as recharge my Ecoflow battery from the alternator at a higher rate than I could get from a 12v socket.I tried my older inverter, but the Ecoflow wouldn't charge from it because it was a modified sine-wave style inverter.I purchased this one to rectify that issue and it works perfectly. For thanksgiving week, I took a 9-day camping trip with my 6 year old. This inverter charged the Ecoflow and ran his laptop whenever we were driving without a single issue; never overloaded or switched off or overheated. One thing to be aware of is this one is much larger than a modified-sine-wave style inverter of the same wattage - apparently you need a lot more internal hardware to make that pretty sine wave. Also, my permanent install involved running 8 AWG wire directly from the battery (through a breaker so I could turn off the inverter!) to the inverter under the carpet of the cab. You can't pull 500w through most car 12v outlets - most are rated somewhere around 120-150w - so a direct battery connection is required. If I ever need a larger inverter, I'll be getting a bigger version of this!
I use this inverter in my semi to run my cpap and run a laptop. This is a company truck that did not come equipped with one so I didn't want to do a full installation. I run it off the cigarette lighter socket and theres more than enough wattage for these devices and everything stays cool as a cucumber.
I bought this because I wanted an inexpensive, mid power pure sine wave inverter. It actually exceeded my expectations. This really is a true sine wave inverter. I measured only 0.3% THD on my analyzer with a 60 watt load, which far exceeds the specs of even many of the the high priced inverters. For reference, my $2000 Honda EU3000i inverter generator is just below 1% and the power at the wall outlets from my utility hover right around 3%.With that said, the power is very clean but the voltage and frequency are also spot on. 119 to 122.4 VRMS and almost spot on 60 Hz comes out of this inverter, and I had no issues with it at 90% of rated output (450 watts measured output) the output voltage was still sitting at 117 volts RMS and the distortion was still less than 2%.This is a real winner and certainly the best I've seen at this price range for a 500 watt pure sine inverter.UPDATE: I recently measured the efficiency of this inverter using the standard CEC formula. It works out to 88%, which is better than any of my modified sine inverters. Impressive.
First timer here so my wire setups are temporarily just wanted to test a few things out. Now this little 500 watts pure sine is the way to go don’t waste your money on 1000watts one that are cheaper but don’t have a pure sine wave. I have a gaming laptop hook up that pulls over 90 watts and I have a smart switch alone pulls about 9 watts and this inverter pulls 6-9 watts depending on the fan. So let me start off by saying this is the best inverter I have ever used I use to work for companies that would hand them out for our work laptop and when I would plug them in the laptop charger makes a bad buzz sound with this one right here fixes that problem so don’t have to worry about a fire .
Works great. Ordered for my son and he said it is awesome. Works great for his hunting trip to keep everything charged up for him while in the woods.
Keeps my Starlink powered with a 12V car battery for days. Starlink only needs about 40W so it's not even stressing the inverter.
Does what it's supposed to do
quality materials - pure sine wave - I wish I had picked a bigger one.
Attn: ham radio operators. This inverter is clean and does not cause interference with the radios. Even on the low bands. Work good and is stable. Will buy again. 4 stars as there is always room for improvement.
Saw some reviews said it was loud. It is not loud at all. I can barely hear it even when the cooling fan comes on. I am on oxygen and drive 6 hours (round trip) to Vanderbilt often. This keeps my oxygen machine fully charged even while using it. Gives me peace of mind. Easy to install as well. Came with everything you need to use, even extra fuses.
Works, cheap. Does what I need it to do camping but the fan runs without a load. Partly the noise but how much of a battery drain does this cause? I get up for a late pee break so I can turn it off. Otherwise it has to be inside the tent. Not a deal breaker at that price. I have no idea if it's truly pure sine wave.
Cumplió con los requerimientos.
I have been extremely happy with the quality and performance of multiple Bestek inverters I've purchased. They run cool, perform great and have exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Bestek inverters as a more afforadable option to other name brands without sacraficing quality or function. In addition, Bestek has top notch customer service and actually cares about after sales support. They are very responsive by email with support questions being answered in hours not days or weeks. If you like to tinker with solar projects and you're on a budget, like me, but still want a quality product that is well supported at very competetive price, give Bestek a try. You'll appreciate the experience, value and support. I wish more companies were like this.
Sat on the shelf for multiple years and immediately did 4 days of 80-90% max power during a power outage. Never even really got hot or batted and eye. The sine wave looked good on the oscilloscope too. In fact, we routed a few battery backups through it because it cleaned up the generator power enough to stop tripping them.
Great product and service! Highly recommended!!!
Purchased for my Jeep JK to run a 12v coffee pot. Works fantastic , mounted under the seat it is also quiet. Customer service was great (we had had an issue with the first one ) the quickly replaced it for me. If I had to purchase another one in the future I would definitely buy a BESTEK
Worked great very happy
Fast shipping , works great! Good quality
I bought this to use to power our 2 electric coolers for our dogs farmers dog dog food. One was used as the fridge and one was used as the freezer and it power both perfectly on our long trip in the car from Wisconsin to New Orleans and then again from Wisconsin to Tennessee. Seems very well built too.
Good for charging laptops. Haven't tried anything else on it.
I doubted it can deliver, after watching couple of videos .I ordered it anyway as it fits my budget. And I Was NOT disappointed.Delivered the numbers at a continuous rate over my 3 and half hours of continuous usage running a 490W st sart humidifier and continuous 425WWith no issues or complaints. The fans kicked in for 2-3 minutes at a time just to keep it cool to touch .Can't ask for more .
Definitely a life saver for anyone needing to rely on a medical device when electric service isn’t available. Attaches to any 12 volt battery for dependable off grid power. It powers my Cpap machine flawlessly while camping.
No issues, works great
